ShadowSpear to Summit Kilimanjaro in Support of SOWF
  • Plain text

Last year, ShadowSpear was able to raise significant funds for the Wounded Warrior Program (WWP) through Fight Gone Bad.  This year we have taken the challenge to an entirely different level and aim to double what were able to raise in support of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF).

On 7 October 2012, Team ShadowSpear will be starting on an expedition to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in support of SOWF.  Rather than following the conventional method of using porters to assist in carrying the gear, we will be carrying everything ourselves.  The goal is to reach the summit in 5 days on a 7 day route.  Needless to say this will be a unique challenge as we aim to rapidly ascend the 19,371 ft volcano, complete with a heavy packs, limited sleep, and of lack of time to properly acclimate to the altitude.

We would appreciate any donations of whatever you can afford. Donations made via the below link go straight to the SOWF and are 100% tax deductible. If you can't afford to donate, we would appreciate if you would share the link or this article with your friends and family!  As always, we appreciate your support to the Special Operations Community and their families!
