SOAR Highlands Adventure Race

The Special Operations Warriors Foundation will again be the beneficiary of proceeds from the 7th annual Special Operations Adventure Race (SOAR) to be held in Highlands, in the beautiful Western mountains of North Carolina on Saturday, June 13, 2009.

This year's event will be limited to 120 participants.

This year's event will feature 2 separate races:

  • A Sprint Race of 5 - 7 hours including running, rappelling, orienteering, water event, and mountain biking.
  • The Elite Race of 10-12 hours including running, mountain biking, water event, rappelling, and orienteering.

The race categories are:

  • 2 person female team under 40
  • 2 person male team under 40
  • 2 person co-ed team under 40
  • Single under 40
  • Master (over 40 - divided into same categories)
