Monument Dedication for 2/19th Special Forces Group

FAYETTEVILLE, NC – A monument honoring the 2nd Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group will be unveiled and dedicated Tuesday, May 24, at the Airborne & Special Operations Museum.

The dedication ceremony of the stone monument for the 2nd Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne), West Virginia Army National Guard will begin at 12:30pm.  The ceremony is being sponsored by chapter LXVIII, Special Forces Association in cooperation with HQS, 2/19th SFG(A).

The monument has been placed to honor the service of the 2nd Battalion to the nation and the state of West Virginia. Major General James A. Hoyer, the Adjutant General, West Virginia National Guard, will be the guest speaker for the ceremony.
