BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan Members of Afghanistan’s Narcotics Interdiction Unit and the Afghan National Army’s 3rd Commando Kandak, assisted by Special Forces soldiers, disabled a mobile drug lab to degrade illegal narcotic production and provide support to the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in southeastern Kandahar province April 5.

More than 50 pounds of hashish, along with a press used to process the material were destroyed during the early-morning mission in the desert about 20 kilometers west of the city of Spin Boldak.

“The ANA and Special Forces soldiers will continue to assist the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in making a better Afghanistan for tomorrow,” said Sgt. 1st Class Andrew Kosterman, a CJSOTF-A spokesperson. “Continued pressure will prevent drug dealers from destroying Afghanistan’s future.”
