Site Rules
1. Do not choose a military-related user name that does not mirror your credentials. For example: Do not choose "Army101" if you have never been in the Army. If you are an Army wannabe, do not choose a screen name with the word "Army" in it.
2. You are required to post an introduction within 24 hours, or your account will be deleted. Your first post must be your introduction. We encourage everyone to be an active participant on the board; however, lurkers are free to lurk after they make their initial post.
3. Be aware of OPSEC/PERSEC at all times. The good guys aren't the only ones reading this board. It is everyone's responsibility to report violations.
4. Do not post pornographic, racist, or illegal material.
5. If a thread has any content that is not safe for the work environment, you must use the NSFW prefix when posting.
6. Heated debates are fine, just keep them professional.
7. Do not abuse/misuse the tag system.
8. All personal profiles, blogs, and photo albums must be safe for work.
9. User created social groups must be of the SOF/military/LE/tactical nature. No exceptions.
10. Using curse words on the forum is fine, however do not increase the font size of those words.
11. You may not advertise your business/website in your signature line unless you purchase the Premium Member package.
We also recommend the use of smilies to convey humor, since it is sometimes misinterpreted on internet boards.

All messages express the views of the author, and neither the owners of ShadowSpear Special Operations , nor its staff will be held responsible for the content of any message.
By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.
The owners/staff of ShadowSpear Special Operations reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.
Group Membership
In your settings you will see a link for Group Membership. Clicking on this will take you to a list of various groups created in ShadowSpear. Groups require verification of its members prior to be accepted into that user group. We do this in order to keep posers away from the site, and provide site benefits to the user group members (e.g. private rooms). Verification will be handled by the group leader (appointed by the admin). When you request group membership, you will be placed into the Group Leader's queue. You will be contacted in due time by the group leader. You are more than welcome to contact them ahead of time. If approved, you will be added to that user group and receive the specific title under your user name (such as Verified SOF, or whatever is chosen) unless you choose for your own custom title to override it. Do not apply for a user group if you do not meet the criteria, you are just wasting our time. Information will be handled in a discreet manner and the group leader is responsible for all information, as well as its destruction after the vetting is complete.
Current verified groups include:
Verified SOF - Members have served in an operational SOF capacity.
Verified Sniper - Members have served as a sniper (formally trained etc).
Verified SOF Support - Members have served in a SOF support capacity.
Verified Military - Members have served in their country's armed forces/military.
Colors
Staff Member user names will appear in a red font.
Verified Military user names will appear with black font.
Verified Sniper user names will appear with standard text and have a cross hair insignia next to their avatar.
Verified SOF user names will appear with a green screen name.
Verified SOF Support user names will appear with a brown screen name.
