    I joined Then Co. E, 20th SFG(A), Jackson MS In October 1965. Went to Basic at Ft. Polk, LA; Combat Engineer AIT at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO; Airborne School at Ft. Benning; SFTG at Ft. Bragg, NC.
    Finished Training Group in May 1967; Returned to then Co. B, 20th SFG(A) as Sr. Radio Operator Supervisor on a B-Det.; Some time later I took over as team Sgt. on an A-Det. I achieved the rank of SFC (E-7).
