I need to move to the US....
They actually said "special operations forces"
Hallelujah, TV jurnos learned something :)
That's really cool! The only reason I'd ever visit LA again would be to see that!
Am I correct in thinking there is no advanced warning to the public?
No, the locals put a press release out so the nervous nellies don't get excited.
Check the comments out on that video, they already are.
Oh, I'm new by the way.
I believe Jack Bauer is in on this and flew one of the Little Birds.
At the 30 second mark, Juan said "special military operations forces".
Ok, same over here, the article intimated no warnings.
No shit? Well then, you should check this thread out. It's pretty awesome: http://www.shadowspear.com/vb/forums/introductions.5/
Yeah I was like "here we go again" then at the 44 second mark he gets it right.
I cant see the picture or the video ?
The 160th has had a long history with the LAPD. Back in spring of '87 I was on a TDY assignment with C company
showing "fastroping" techniques to LAPD SWAT with the help from the "boys" from Team 6.
Anywhere but LA. Been there, done that.
Here are some more pictures from that TDY.
Little Birds from A company were also on that TDY.
I'm cleaning out a drawer full of pictures and will start a new thread with the best ones.
Nice photos. Thanks for sharing.
No problem, I only wished I had my camera on more TDYs but this was decades before small handy digital cameras. I had a small instant 35mm and roll or two of film. On a lot of ops the people we were supporting the "D" boys or Team 6 really did not like picture taken, plus I was a lowly enlisted man and did not want to get in trouble.
