Member Vetting on ShadowSpear

Verification is not mandatory for our community members, however it is recommended. We run a tight community, and have zero tolerance for those who try to pass themselves off as something they are not. This unacceptable practice is rampant on the internet, and will ultimately lead to a permanent ban on this site and others. Our members like to be assured they are communicating with people who are who they say they are. This is why we have devised a vetting process for the ShadowSpear Community. This assures our other members that they are talking to a real deal, plain and simple. It isn't a status symbol, and the moderators keep the egos in check. We are here to discuss special operations, network, and assist those who have the desire to attempt SOF selection.
Benefits
What you post will actually hold more weight. We run our community on factual information, and routinely moderate hearsay/gossip. We have had several members that have acted like a subject matter expert, yet did not have the credentials to back up their posts. Our verification process keeps your information safe and minds PERSEC/OPSEC. Only your group leader (see below) will see your documentation, and will delete it after the vetting process is completed.
Verified members are eligible for nomination/entry into a specific private forum. Non-vetted folks have absolutely no chance of being admitted. Private forums are hidden, utilizing various security measures. What is discussed there, stays there.
Vetted members also receive access to Tactical Fusion, an invite-only social networking site.
The Process
Each group has a leader in charge of vetting. The group leader is responsible for your verification as well as the destruction of your information. After you apply for the group, you can either wait for the group leader to contact you, or you can send him the necessary information beforehand. If you have any doubts on the process, don't request vetting. As previously stated, vetting is not mandatory on ShadowSpear. You are welcome to contact the staff or the vetted site members if you have any questions regarding vetting. For a list of all vetted members, click here.
Verification examples vary between US & International members. Your group leader will explain the process to you and make it a quick and painless process. Please PM your group leader/admin/moderator if you have any questions, or post them in the appropriate forum.
