I am waiting on the memo to be explained more....a little too vague at this time.

I have always supported military service as a path to citizenship, I hope that path is not being closed for flippant reasons.

Just a quick glance...the memo is Oct 2017, and all it states is DEP might be a little longer due to added investigation. I have no problem with that, just because DOS or USCIS has cleared the person for LPR, doesn't mean DOD can't mandate another clearance check.

Just for example.....I held an active military TS/SCI clearance in the USAR, when I was assigned from a PD to a Fed Task Force, I had to go through another clearance procedure for a TS/SCI and a poly. Not unusual and seems silly, but the DOD adjudicated clearance was not accepted for the Fed LEO and they had to do their own...so...held two TS/SCI clearances.

I will wait to see how this plays out.
