I struggle to understand how Alice even passed flight school, I think it's due to quota's. 50 attempts and 75% of hull on one of my fighters was expended in her (finally) successful first flight onboard. I'm terrified to actually allow her near the weapon controls with even training munitions.
It should be noted at least 50% (if not more) of the hull loss was from him shooting me...

Saving lives one axe swing at a time.
Hahaha my next question was going to be “What is up with that damn game?”

Still selling space ships that you can't actually doing anything, for prices that will buy you top tier video cards all the way to used late model diesel pickup trucks (not even kidding, if you are whale mode on their store they have a "deal" for like 20k to buy all the everything.)

Doom Enternal might just be the perfect arcade shooter.
The game mechanics are a wonderful blend of old school "oh shit oh shit" arena shooter with the ability to strategize using the glory kills/chainsaw/flamethrower to get health/ammo/armory drops, respectively.

If all goes well Destiny 2's weekly reset will see me pickup Mountaintop and start the last quest step for Luna's Howl. Momentum Control this week should allow me to finish the Revoker grind.

@SaintKP apologies if you already knew this, but Momentum Control is your best bet for PvP quests since you can one shot body any Guardian with a sniper rifle. Run Menagerie once your chalice is fully upgraded and farm for Beloved (sniper) and Austringer (hand cannon, maybe the best 140 RPM in the game where 150 RPM's tend to dominate).

When it comes to rpgs really my experience is mostly limited to videogames. So I may not be the most useful critic for you but I can see and appreciate when someone has put a lot of thought into his work, and I really like your organic "in play" proposition and setup. Very well explained and easy to understand. Thank you very much for sharing. Really well done. Might as well use the time to get into and try it out with some people. Btw love the use of the Ordo Hereticus seal as structure lol

The All Guardsmen Party sounds hillarious. Seeing it for the first time. Gonna check it out.

Mods, sorry for going a little off-topic. <3

Moving my response over here to a more germane thread.

Thanks for your kind words! I definitely spent way too many hours that should have been studying for classes on producing that. I've actually only actually played DH2e for one 6-session intro game (on Roll20), and only ever played one session of an in-person TTRPG (D&D3e back in middle/high school). But I have many hours in CRPGs and many more reading RPG books and IP-related novels.

After discovering Eisenhorn, I got a bit obsessed with the 40k universe as it applied to the Inquisition. After a few years (and many pulpy, grimdark novels) I discovered Inquisitor and then Dark Heresy Second Edition. This was just after the infamously contentious beta testing and ultimate FFG decisions on the system (updating from the Black Industries-produced Dark Heresy), but before the release.

(yeah, I'm a huge nerd...)

I was fairly active on the FFG forums in those early DH2e days, diving into the nitty gritty. In developing this module, I was heavily inspired by the Dragon Age: Origins in-play/lifepath character creation. I dove deep into theory, subscribing to the incomparable Justin Alexander, delved deep into various systems (Burning Wheel; Adventurer, Conqueror, King; FATE; Stars Without Number; and the then-more-recently released Wh40k TTRPGs RT/DW/BC/OW.

At the time I was also messing around with Open Source Software out of principle, and spent a lot of time dicking around in GIMP (if you're still reading, but haven't been following the acronyms and uber-nerd speak don't worry - that link is totally Jared from State Farm levels of safe for work and boring). I was also buying each DH2e book as it came out, so I used GIMP to trace/copy and rip the page textures and Ordo symbols.

I did assemble a group and play-test the module a few times, but as the serial dabbler/dilettante that I am, it never went further than that.

It's great to hear some positive feedback, especially/ironically at the same level of reading-but-not-playing that I've pretty much always been at! This has been shared around the relatively small DH2e community, but I've never seen any reports of anyone actually using this in the wild.

Long story short, thanks for checking it out! Please don't feel in any way dismayed that you haven't played many/any in=person TTRPGs, or that engaging with the IP by reading splat books and such is somehow less than worthy - I do the same thing!

The AGP is some of the funniest shit I've ever read in any setting. It definitely pays dividends and is worth the time investment!

edit: Oh, and FFG has lost their GW license. Cubical 7 Games now has the IP license for GW TTRPGs, and they are about to release a new, combined system (Imperial Guard -> Space Marine, Chaos Heretic -> Inquisitor, Alien -> Administratum, all in the same system). They just today announced that the .pdf of the new Core book (system is called Wrath & Glory) is now immediately available with physical book pre-orders.

Man, that is so relatable. I was also working a lot with PS. Lately work with GIMP.
I was also very close to seriously getting into 3d modeling and advanced modding when messing around with some games like tw & arma, but it is such an extremely time consuming activity that I never got around finishing and releasing a project.
It's actualy not difficult to learn and execute. There are good tutorials on yt and BI forums, and free programs like Blender, Sketchup etc.
But it can take weeks ( even a simple reskin and config writing ), months , sometimes even years, and custom user made programs that are not always readily available ( or simply lost ), which you need to open and then convert everything back into functioning game data etc. When you got all your tools in place, it is a lot of fun though.

No shame in that lol. Humanity should be thankful that nerds exist. Not just in regards to media and entertainment industry. Embrace it.

Love it. Figured you did some serious homework before writing that. The thoroughness and detail really reflects it.

Don't mention it. It is absolutly deserved.

Nah I don't think that, I'm only a bit sad to have missed out on the TT element whenever I'm in the shop, but really, long as BL authors keep writing those sweet pages of grimdark, I'm all good and served. Really, nobody should think that. In fact when I got into 40k I was surprised to learn that many TT players are actualy not as well read in BL novels as I had believed, compared to people like us, who spend more time reading thousands of pages rather than playing. Saddest thing though, I got 1k points of Custodes just standing around as dust catchers. But hey, at least that's somewhat lore accurate. ^^

I have to say though, that I'm glad I had already explored the other major and a number of lesser known IPs before delving into 40k because it would have probably ruined some for me.

My only problem with 40k is, that I got my own head canon for how some things are supposed to look as described in the novels versus how they are portrayed through various media. But I think fan projects like 'Astartes' do a really magnificent job. I wonder if it's the same with you.

The AGP is some of the funniest shit I've ever read in any setting. It definitely pays dividends and is worth the time investment!
Two chapters in and already love it lol thanks for sharing.

I will definitly also give Wrath & Glory a shot. Looks quite extensive and I like the setting.
