Interesting that only run time is different for assualters and support.

Why the fuck is the run distance in MILES...eh?:p

well, that's comforting. Threw in number equivalents of my in-service average and at least for PT was a little shy of double. I like that overall requirement, although I would hope there's an unofficial minimum above this posted minimum for each event so you don't get a slugmuppet no-runner that just happens to be a brick shithouse otherwise. They have their advantages but a run for all I hate them is still one of the best tests for endurance capacity...

There other unofficial minimums for fitness. This just basically says you're fit enough to be accepted for selection. Assaulter's need to meet a much higher standard and there is huge competition just to get a spot; so the better you are, better your chance. Supporters that have certain skills but meet the minimum, will go ahead of a guy applying for the same spot that has limited skills but is a beast in the gym. And that's just fitness... there's still interviewing, psych eval, etc before you even get a shot at selection.
