This is a tree this is a hole in the tree the squirrel comes out of the hole in the tree sees a dog runs around the tree and back down the hole. Is that the one?

Bowline. The King of all knots. Learned it in Boy Scouts, used it in Sea Scouts. I still use it when I'm doing tree work and here & there around the farm.
If a horse or cow dies I have to tow the carcass away with a line from the tractor drawbar
