Hey guys, I have been doing some research on the topic of lifting weights in preparation for a SOF selection course. I have heard from many sources that lifting weights is not necessary and to strictly keep it to running, rucking, swimming, and calisthenics. This is what I have been doing for the past few months since I have started training but I have recently come across people that are telling me that strength and lifting weights plays a much larger role in a selection course than most people think. I assume that it varies person to person and on your athletic background but I was trying to find your takes on this since I have been hearing conflicting opinions. Thanks in advance!
