Hi everyone. I'm 23 years old and currently a junior in college currently with approximately 70 credits, and I've been looking at ways to join the Special Forces. I'd love the opportunity to try for selection, but I'm a little concerned maturity will be a problem. I'm not quite sure what the demographic is like for people in SF, and how I'll be able to become acclimated to not just SF culture, but army culture! I'm hoping I'll be a good fit, but obviously, that's not for me to decide. Additionally, my goal is to be in shit-hot shape for selection, but not sure whether I'll be able to get myself ready enough while in 11B. My question is, am I better off training on my own before being shipped off for 18X (18X cadre)? Any suggestions would be awesome! Thanks guys. Hoping I can be a good fit for SOF, this is my dream career and I can't imagine myself anywhere else!!!
